Here's another character from a possible choice for my concept pitch, but I may in fact choose this one over the rest. It's a completely different genre than the previous one, but I must admit, I had a blast getting this story finalized in a previous class. Not to mention doing a heavy science fiction story is something I've never really seen myself doing before, at least drawing anyway, so it'll really put me out of my comfort zone. I'll get the main man up soon. Merry Christmas! :D
Here She Comes by mojothecreator17
Here She Comes
I've been meaning to start this art project for a while now, and I may be able to turn this into a school project for next semester, but for now, I'm going to crank out a few character designs. This is something for a fantasy film pitch idea I've been developing for a few months. It will be a great way for me to work on my armor designing skills.
The Black Kirk (Outlander) by mojothecreator17
The Black Kirk (Outlander)
Took me all night to get this thing looking at least close to what I had envisioned, but goshdarnit I pulled through!

As you can see, I've recently hopped onto the banwagon of Starz's new series, "Outlander", which apparently spurred from a best-selling book series that's been around since the 90's. I've read the first book and have been keeping up with the episodes and I am so glad I gave it a chance! A romance/ action-adventure/ historical fiction/ science fiction genre mash-up is kinda hard to pass up, especially with how Starz has handled the story so far.

What started out as a speed sketch turned into something else, and I did my darndest to finish up well since insomnia's been keeping me at bay.

Made with PS CS5, with the musical inspiration provided by The Real McKenzies.
Character Bust: Virgil, 2014 by mojothecreator17
Character Bust: Virgil, 2014
This is quick look at an upcoming character for the upcoming chapter that I thought I'd share since I'm taking a quick break from doing pages. If you're wondering exactly what's going on with his face, that's actually his default expression. He's somehow mastered showing the perfect combination between discomfort and confusion, which are pretty much the top emotions he ever seems to feel these days, but that'll be all be explained soon. This is far cry from how he originally looked way back in the beginning, but I'm very happy how he turned out. While making the pages leading up to him beforehand, I really didn't like how I was drawing with the earlier models, so I figured it would be a good idea to fix a few things up real quick before he made his big appearance. I'll eventually post his original look on here soon afterwards.

Hello, I'm Morgan, but some call me Mo or Mojo. Just pick whichever you prefer. I am a student currently attending the Savannah College of Art and Design to help prepare me for a creative career in sequential art (it's pretty much just a fancy word for, 'comics').
I have loved making art practically since my parents handed me my first coloring book, and not too long after, I came to admire the wonderful works of Disney, Dreamworks, and Pixar when it came to animation. Then after that I discovered the many fantastic storylines and universes of Marvel, DC and other comic book publishers. Lastly I became facinated with Japanese animation and manga, classics like Dragon Ball, Inyuyasha and later works such as Fruits Basket and Fullmetal Alchemist. Today, I have been dedicating the majority of my life to making art and appreciating the artwork of others. My main obsession currently focuses on comic book making and my own graphic novel "Mid-Evil", with a few other side projects in the works. If you want to know anything else, just ask! Oh, and enjoy my gallery while you're at it!

Okay, so as it turns out, I will not be able to travel to New York City for their fall convention this year. :(  However, I am happy to announce that I will still be planning to venture out to Baltimore this September for Comic Con as planned! Anyone else on here planning to go? Hopefully I'll be able to buy waaaaay more awesome stuff as opposed to last year. So excited!

In other news, words cannot express how good it feels to be working on my comic buffer. There's still a ton of work to do, but the fact that I am making progress is good enough for me. Who knows how things will be during my final year at SCAD, but I have an idea it's gonna keep me busy, so this summer's gonna mean a lot of work.

Hope all is going well with you guys! I'll be back soon!
